The City of Aiken Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department was acknowledged at the City Council Meeting, October 14, 2019, for earning the 2019 Parks Excellence Award for over 30,000 population. The PRT Department received the award at the annual SCRPA conference, which was held in Myrtle Beach.
Mr. Jim Headley, South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association (SCPRA) Executive Director, was in attendance at the City Council meeting and introduced a video recognizing the renovated and revitalized Eustis Park.
