The results from Southern Living Magazine’s “South’s Best” are in and Aiken was voted the fourth Best Small Town in the south out of 10 selected towns.
Surpassing in votes the towns of Fairhope, AL, Columbia, TN, Gatlinburg, TN, Bluffton, SC, Cleveland, MS and Blowing Rock, NC, Aiken once again stands out not only as a vibrant equestrian community but one that is rich in historic charm and tradition. The towns of Beaufort, SC, Beaufort, NC and St. Augustine, FL rounded out the top three.
The Southern Living survey was developed by the editors of Southern Living, in association with a third-party individual research firm, was made available at southernliving.com/southsbest from November 9, 2018, to December 4, 2018.
